Dr. Tanushree Bhakta-Perry

Dr Tanushree Bhakta-Perry is a Family Physician & General Practitioner (GP) with over 12 years’ experience. Dr Bhakta-Perry graduated
from the University of Liverpool Medical School in 2010 and completed her two Foundation Years in busy district general and tertiary hospitals. She commenced Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in the Merseyside Deanery, however realised that she missed learning about and managing the person as a whole so decided to apply for General Practice training.

She commenced GP training on the South Worcestershire VTS scheme from 2016-2019, which involved working in a busy A&E department at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and doing her GP training in large practices in the Worcestershire countryside and Worcester city centre. Upon obtaining her Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners, UK (MRCGP) in summer 2019, Dr Bhakta-Perry commenced working as a 7 session GP in a busy practice in South Worcestershire, working throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, then to a super practice in Birmingham, also working as a 7 session GP.

She relocated to Grand Cayman in September 2021 with her now husband and worked at a busy urgent care facility on island as a GP and Urgent Care Physician until February 2023 . She then joined the Family Physician & GP team at Integra in April 2023. Dr Bhakta-Perry is passionate about holistic care and enjoys working with members of the multi-disciplinary team to help patients manage their symptoms.

Outside of work, Dr Bhakta-Perry loves swimming! She states: “I think it is amazing for your physical and mental health, and always try to encourage patients to do this where possible. I think water safety is also important and being a small island, I think it is important that people should know how to swim and be safe in the open water.
